Herring «Heh» with carrots and onions

National Korean snack made from meat or fish and vegetables. The main feature of the dish is that products are not subjected to heat treatment.

  • vinegar 9% 200 ml
  • herring frozen 3 PC.
  • carrots 3 pieces.
  • onion 2 PCs.
  • soy sauce 4 tbsp
  • vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  • sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  • garlic 2 cloves
  • salt 1 tsp.


  • Frozen herring to hold at room temperature. To clean onions, garlic and carrots. Clean the fish from the bones, cut into pieces. Pour vinegar and leave for half an hour. Carrots grate on a grater, designed for cooking in Korean, onion cut into half rings, garlic peel and pass through the press.
  • Drain the fillets, add to the fish the vegetables, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame seeds and salt to taste. All the ingredients mix well, put the herring «Heh» with carrots and onions for two hours in the refrigerator.
